The Boyceville Village Board on Monday, October 3rd approved a variance request from Ohly for the removal and expansion of storage silos along Tiffany Street.
According to information that Ohly presented to the Village Board they propose a silo pad removal and expansion to provide a new pad that will support two liquid store silos.
According to their proposal, “The new silos will store 30,000 gallons each and are 12.5 feet in diameter and 40 feet tall.” The proposal continued saying; “Ohly is applying for this variance based on past precedence and our historical use of the space. The site buildings and silos proximity to Tiffany Street is not changing. The tanks located in his area have been the norm for decades. The concrete pad that we wish to remove appears to have been installed in the early 2000’s.”
No citizens appeared before the Village Board about the proposed variance, despite Village President Luke Montgomery asking three times for comment from the public.
