John Larson
Glenwood City Mayor John Larson announced that he would resign at the end of August. Larson made that announcement at the regular City Council meeting on July 18. Larson has served as Glenwood City mayor since July 2007.
Saying, “It’s time for a change, it‘s been too long,” as he explained to the six members of the City council that he and his wife wanted to take advantage of the current real estate market and they have sold their home on East Oak Street.
“We want to down size,” Larson told the council. He explained that they where not able to find a rental in Glenwood City, so they are moving into Boyceville.
The Council will have to determine how they want to select a new mayor.
