Rye & soil health field day

The Hay River and Red Cedar Farmer-Led Watershed is hosting a field day on May 24 starting at 10:00 a.m. at the Maple Hills Dairy located at  E1806 State Road 64, Boyceville.

Agenda: 10:00 a.m. In-field Soil Health Assessment & Soil Pit – Kristin Foehringer, NRCS 10:30 a.m. Planting Green, Forage Harvest, and Roller Crimping Cereal Rye – Steve Olson, Farmer and Dunn County LCD, & John Sippl, NRCS 11:00 a.m. Ryelage Productivity, Management, and Economics – Kevin Shelley, NPM Program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison 11:30 a.m. Hybrid Rye Viability in Wisconsin – Haleigh Ortmeier-Clarke, Ph.D. student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison
