COLFAX — Seniors at Colfax High School have been awarded more than $500,000 in scholarships.
As a group, the Class of 2022 faced a tremendous amount of adversity because of the COVID-19 pandemic, said John Dachel, Colfax High School principal, at the Senior Awards presentation May 4 in the CHS gymnasium.
The graduating seniors had their lives turned upside-down because of the pandemic and then fought hard to get to some kind of “normal” concerning academics, athletics, play performances and concerts, he said.
“The seniors did a great job of absorbing what they were asked to do and moving forward,” Dachel said.
