The Bulldog softball team won a trio of conference games last week as it ran its winning streak to six to stay in the chase for the Dunn-St. Croix championship.

The Glenwood City game story can be found elsewhere in this issue.
Those wins kept the Bulldogs (6-1, 7-1) just one game behind Dunn-St. Croix leaders Mondovi and Elk Mound.
Boyceville was set to host Elk Mound in a doubleheader Monday, May 9 with Elmwood/Plum City coming in the next day. Games in Mondovi and Colfax follow this Thursday and Friday. Boyceville will then close out the season with a pair of games against Durand. The first is scheduled for this Saturday, May 14 in Boyceville with the Bulldogs traveling to Durand next Monday, May 16.
Colfax
A five-run third inning propelled Boyceville to an 8-5 home win over Colfax May 2.
In that decisive frame, Libby Bygd belted a two-run homer and the Bulldogs had five hits in all.
After the Vikings took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning, Boyceville knotted it up in the bottom of the second.
The Vikings regained the lead with a run in the third but the Bulldogs exploded for five runs in their half of the inning with several coming off Viking errors and added two more in the fourth for a 8-2 advantage.
The Vikings threw a scare into the Bulldogs and starting pitcher Ella Holden as they scored three runs with no outs in their final at bat in the top of the seventh before Holden and the Boyeville defense was able retire the side and end the game with a strike out, a fly out and a ground out.
Despite giving up a dozen hits to Colfax, Holden was able to pick up the pitching win as she finished with five strikeouts and three walks.
Boyceville finished with ten hits. Jadynn Traxler went 3-for-4 at the plate with three RBIs and Sarah Stoveren and Bygd each had a pair of hits. While Bygd belted that two-run, fence-clearing shot in the third, Stoveren scored a pair of runs.
Spring Valley
Ella Holden allowed just one Cardinal hit in five innings as the visiting Bulldogs shut out Spring Valley 10-0 last Thursday, May 5.
Holden struck out five and walked none to her the pitching victory.
The offense gave its senior hurler plenty of support as it banged out ten hits to go along with those ten runs.
Harper Olson, Cambrie Reisimer, Delaney Olson and Libby Bygd each had a pair of hits in the contest which included a double by Bygd. Harper Olson, Reisimer and Holden each score two runs while Delaney Olson finished with three RBIs.
