4th Graders Plant Trees

THE 4TH GRADERS at Mound View Elementary in Elk Mound had an opportunity to give back to the community by planting white pine trees at Wheaton Park Thursday, April 28th . The students had a fantastic time and learned a lot about how to plant a sapling. Members from the Wheaton Town Park Commission along with several community members and parent volunteers helped us plant 100 trees on April 28. The trees were provided by a Wisconsin DNR program which provides saplings for 4th graders each year. Participating were students in Mrs. Larson’s, Ms. Keefer’s, Mr. Kongshaug’s and Ms. Kiesler’s 4th Grade Classes which are pictured in photos. —photo submitted
