ELK MOUND  —  Five candidates have filed nomination papers for three positions on the Elk Mound Village Board in the April 5 election, and two candidates have filed nomination papers for two positions on the Elk Mound Board of Education.

Incumbent village trustees Greg Kipp, Cynthia Abraham and Tim Benjamin filed nomination papers by the January 4 deadline.

Challengers Patrick Lien and Kathleen Degre also filed nomination papers for the Elk Mound Village Board by the deadline.

School board 

Incumbent school board member Kyle Jenson filed a declaration of non-candidacy by the deadline in December.

Incumbent school board member Loren Hanson filed nomination papers by the January 4 deadline.

Holly Sweeney also filed nomination papers for the Board of Education by the deadline.
