HUDSON — The Colfax Varsity Dance Team competed in the WACPC Western Regional Dance competition in Hudson this past Saturday, March 20.
The Vikings took the advice from the judges at the Dunn-St. Croix Conference competition, made some adjustments to their routines, and had a fantastic day in Hudson.
The team came in third place in Division 5 Pom and earned a spot in the WACPC State program in April. The competition was really close with only two points separating third place from firstplace in the Division 5 Pom category.
Colfax also performed its Jazz routine and missed a spot in the WACPC State program by half a point. The squad placed fifth in Division 3 Jazz in the WACPC Western Regional Dance competition. With that competition being so close, the girls will have to wait and see how they compare to the Division 5 Pom teams in the other regions.
WACPC State Dance competition will be a virtual competition on April 25th where all the teams will be judged using a recorded routine by one panel of judges.
