The following are the results of local township caucuses in our area.
Town of Springfield
For town supervisor Jim Mahoney and Barry Ketchum were nominated, as was Dean Fayerweather for town chairman. All three are incumbent’s office holders in Springfield Township.
Town of New Haven
Incumbent Town Chairman, Marv Prestrud was nominated for another term as were incumbent Town Board Members Jeff Carlsrud and Tom Schoonover. Mark Bartz was nominated to be returned as Town Treasurer.
Town of Tiffany
Incumbents were the only candidates to receive nominations at the Town Caucus and they are Chuck Siler as Town Chairman. Lee Kegan for Supervisor Number one and Steve Boyd as Supervisor Number Two.
Incumbent town clerk Katie Moll was nominated, as was Laura Rasmussen as Town Treasurer.
Town of Forest
There is a contest for all three seats on the Town Board in Forest Township. For Chairman of Forest Township, former town chairman, Roger Swanepoel, is challenging Jaime Junker, incumbent chairman, for that position.
For the two supervisor seats on the board, four people were nominated at the town caucus. They are Bruce Fouks, Laverne Hoitomt, Todd Ostberg and Lee Tellijohn. Ostberg and Hoitomt are the incumbents.
Also nominated were incumbent Town Clerk, Annie Johnston and Town Treasurer, Nikki Sunday.
Village of Wheeler
Incumbent Village President Ben A. Stephens will be the only person on the Wheeler ballot for president as is Lillian F. Milune for Village Trustee.
Town of Stanton
Tim Mittlestadt is challenging Bob Anderson for the Town Chairman’s position. Three people were nominated for the two seats as supervisor and they are Karl Hackbarth, Joshua Edhlund, and Steve Nielsen.
Village of Knapp
In the Village of Knapp, only incumbents have been nominated at their caucus. For Village President, Georgene Close and the candidates for the three Trustee seats on the village board are: Tony Sobottka, Ramona Sobottka, Gene Lemke, and incumbent Tony Flom.
Town of Sherman
In the Dunn County Township of Sherman only incumbent members of the board were nominated to be on the April ballot. They are: Chase Potter, Town Chairman, Paul Heifner for Supervisor number one and Amanda Klosterman for Supervisor number two.
Town o Glenwood
In Glenwood Township only incumbents were nominated to be returned for another two-year term as town officers. They are: Mark Maes as Town Chairman, Rick Obermueller and Barry Peterson as Supervisors. Lori Obermueller for Town Clerk and Audrey Maes as Town Treasurer.
Town of Emerald
Only incumbents own officers were nominated for another two-year term in the Township of Emerald. They are: Henry Hurtgen as Town Chairman; Tom Wink and Francis Klatt as supervisors and Cheryl Slind as Town Treasurer and Lorelei Wink as Town Clerk.
Town of Sheridan
In the Dunn County Township of Sheridan all incumbents were nominated for re-election. They are David Bartlett, Town Chairman; Larry Amble, Supervisor number one and Peter Score, Supervisor number two.
