ELK MOUND—Village attorney Jason Brasch explained the responsible user agreement with the Village of Colfax for the Elk Mound waste and recycling center. The board approved this measure during the November 16 meeting.
The board approved all gas utilities and sewer vouchers. They also unanimously approved a building permit for Jonathan and Missy Linzmeier of 118 Juniper Avenue for a house addition.
Board members agreed police chief Chad Weinberger should purchase three body cameras, which would mean one camera per officer in the department.
Weinberger explained many of the department contacts have been traffic related, geographically they are located primarily around Menomonie Street and University Street. He noted the increased activity on University Street is most likely due to school being in session. The most unusual thing he has worked on recently was an alleged burglary, that turned out to be four individuals urinating on a vehicle.
The Elk Mound Village Board’s first scheduled meeting for December is December 7, 2020, at 6 p.m.
