To invest in Wisconsin’s transportation system, Gov. Tony Evers has signed a $3.1 million contract to improve WIS 29, between County B and I-94, in the towns of Red Cedar and Elk Mound in Dunn County. Work began Tuesday, August 24.
Monarch Paving Co. is the prime contractor for the project. Construction will entail milling the existing pavement and overlaying it with asphalt, along with cleaning, clearing, repairing or replacing culverts.
During construction, WIS 29 will be open to traffic with lane closures controlled by flagging operations.
Construction is scheduled for completion in mid-October. The schedule is dependent on favorable weather conditions and construction progress.
