Doctor Leonard “Doc” Anderson died on Monday, July 20th in Menomonie at the age of 93.
Anderson practiced Veterinary Medicine in Glenwood City for 33 years, retiring in1988. He serviced 12-years as Mayor of Glenwood City and during his term of office the city purchased the former Trinity Lutheran Church at the corner of Second and Pine Street and remodeled it into the City Hall and Library. At that time the City Hall was in the fire station on Oak Street. The council table was positioned behind a couple of fire trucks. The library was moved from the Odd Fellows Hall on Second Street to the new location following the remodeling.
His wife, Carlotta, five children and 19 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren survive Anderson.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, August 30 at the Glen Hills Golf Club. His obituary can be found inside this issue.
