GLENWOOD CITY —The City Council move quickly Monday evening to re-open all activities of the city that have been closed because of the COVID-19 Virus.
Near the end of the agenda the council was to consider a plan for re-opening of the municipal building, parks, playground and the swimming pool and swimming lessons.
Just as the discussion got underway, council member Austin Sandow stated: “I would like to see it all open.” He continued that if the County Health Department comes up with something different, we could look at that at that time.
After just a short discussion, the council approved the re-opening of all facilities Tuesday morning.
But City Clerk/Treasurer Sharon Rosenow commented about the swimming pool and informed the members of the council that the city has only three lifeguards and that may reduce swimming lessons and the time the pool is open.
