Nyah Anderson
EAU CLAIRE – Nyah Anderson, daughter of Craig and Julie Anderson of Glenwood City, has received the Good Citizen Award from the Eau Claire Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR). This award is given to a high school senior who excels academically, participates in extracurricular activities, and is active in the community. An award ceremony was to be held Monday, April 6, 2020 at the Chippewa Valley Museum, but was cancelled in compliance with efforts to minimize Covid-19 exposure.
Anderson is most proud of being president of her National Honor Society chapter, cheering for the wrestling and basketball teams, playing percussion in the All-Conference Honors Band, having a role in the school musical, being Class President and working at the Glenwood City Public Library.
Anderson plans to attend St. Norbert College and major in Chemistry and Biochemistry.
Approximately two dozen high schools in the Chippewa Valley and beyond participate in the program and select a student to represent their schools. All the students are topnotch, and DAR members are proud to recognize these exceptional students.
