Local governments provide essential services and are exempt from the Governor’s recent Mass Gathering and Safer At Home Declarations. The continuation of local government is also essential for a coordinated response to the COVID-19 crisis. Dunn County government remains in operation and employees continue to provide services to the community. This means that residents may see County work crews and other employees, those who provide services outside of County buildings, out and about. Those County employees are following social distancing and personal hygiene practices. However, to protect the safety of our residents, staff and community, Dunn County buildings and facilities are closed to the public until further notice.
Services are being provided remotely (by phone, email, or internet) where possible. If in-person delivery is needed, appointments to visit County offices are possible. Please call or email the appropriate department before visiting any Dunn County building. The email and phone numbers for the County departments are on the Dunn County website, www.co.dunn.wi.us For questions regarding what businesses are essential, please visit the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation page, https://wedc.org/essentialbusiness/
Dunn County residents are encouraged to stay at home, limit travel of any kind to only what is essential, and to avoid gathering in groups. Where contact with others outside your household is needed, please follow social distancing guidelines, cover your mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing, and wash hands frequently.
