HUDSON – As of Friday, March 20, the St. Croix County Register of Deeds is taking recommended health and safety precautions to protect the public and reduce the spread of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) by conducting all public services through online, mail and drop off options. Public access to the office will be unavailable in order to keep the residents and employees safe while continuing to serve customers.
The office will remain staffed and staff will continue to process vital records applications, record real estate documents and fulfill document copy requests during regular business hours. They will also be available to assist customers with any questions they may have. The best way to reach us is by email at ROD@sccwi.gov as we may at times have limited access to our normal phone lines. If you do choose to call and we are unable to answer just leave a message and we will get back to you as soon as possible. All Land Records are also available to view and purchase online. We are here to help.
“The health and safety of our employees and customers remains our top priority,” said St. Croix County Register of Deeds, Beth Pabst. “Limiting physical access allows the public and staff to conduct business without jeopardizing their health. It also insures maintaining the social distance necessary to limit the spread of the corona virus in our community. “
The St. Croix County Register of Deeds Office will continue to closely monitor the impact of COVID-19 on the community and will determine when the office will reopen later, based off the guidance of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Wisconsin Department of Health Services and St. Croix County Public Health.
