The Colfax Varsity Dance Team competed this past weekend in the WACPC State Championships 2020. There were 12 teams competing in the Division 5 Pom category. Colfax improved throughout the week and moved up in the ranking at state. They placed in 9th. The point spread was extremely close with only 6 points separating them from 6th place. They were given the compliment of nice natural enthusiasm. The team has been working on their showmanship all year so this was a great validation of their efforts.
The team feels very lucky to perform on the state floor because not every team gets the opportunity to do so. The following is the final rank of the Division 5 schools performing at state in Pom:
1. Aquinas
2. Saint Mary’s Springs
3. Howards Grove
4. Palmyra-Eagle
5. Laconia
6. River Ridge
7. Pacelli
8. Spring Valley
9. Colfax
10. Dodgeland
11. Pepin
12. Mondovi
The Colfax Varsity Dance Team’s competitive season has come to an end, but they will still perform at girls’ and boys’ basketball games. They have a couple new routines they are excited to perform. The team also wishes good luck to the basketball teams as they continue their seasons.
