ELK MOUND — Three candidates will be on the ballot for three trustee positions on the Elk Mound Village Board in the April 7 spring election.
The incumbent village board members who will be up for election in April are Greg Kipp and Paula Turner.
Incumbent Rebecca Livingston decided not to run for re-election.
The third candidate will be Cynthia L. Abraham.
Abraham’s husband, Steven Abraham, currently serves as village president.
The Abrahams would be the second husband and wife to serve on the Elk Mound Village Board. Deborah Creaser-Kipp and Greg Kipp currently are trustees on the village board.
Since a husband and wife do not constitute a quorum on a seven-member board, there is no prohibition about them serving on the board.
The deadline for nomination papers was January 7.
