The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is holding a public involvement meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 8, to discuss the proposed improvements to WIS 29 between County CC and WIS 128 in Pierce and St. Croix counties.
The meeting is from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at the Spring Valley Municipal Building, E121 S. Second St. The objective of the meeting is to provide the public with additional information on the proposed improvements and obtain input.
This project involves the rehabilitation of pavement on WIS 29 between County CC and WIS 128. The project, which goes through Spring Valley, is approximately 4.3 miles.
In addition to the pavement rehabilitation, the project also includes repairs to the deck surface on the bridge carrying WIS 29 over the Eau Galle River, replacement of the retaining wall along WIS 29 in Spring Valley and deficient roadside guardrail, and replacement or repair of existing pipe culverts.
Construction currently is scheduled for 2021.
Adjacent property owners are encouraged to attend the meeting. Citizens who are hearing-impaired and require an interpreter may request one by contacting Christena T. O’ Brien at least three working days prior to the meeting at 715-828-9471 or christena.obrien@dot.wi.gov.
