ZACHARY RASKA

ISAIAH MARIER
Glenwood City High/Middle School is proud to announce the October Students of the Month. Respect was the character trait that was the focus of the month; students who provide a sense of comfort for those around them because they will act on what is right. Respect is what holds our relationships together and allows for our school community to be an incredible place. The staff at Glenwood City High/Middle School has identified the following students who demonstrate these traits in their day-to-day interactions.
The October Student of the Month at Glenwood City High School is senior, Zachary Raska. In nominating Zachary, Mr. VanderWaal stated,
“I have had the opportunity to work with Zach as an employee of the school during the summer and as a student. Throughout these experiences with Zach I have discovered that he has a humorous and hardworking personality, but most importantly Zach is always incredibly respectful towards me and those around him. Zach is respectful of classroom processes and is quick to participate when asked. In his communication with me, both this summer and throughout the last month or two in my classroom Zach always demonstrates a high level of response and respect of the things that are asked of him. Zach is a great individual to be nominated for this category!”
Zachary is the son of Melissa and Braulio Mundo.
The October Student of the Month at Glenwood City Middle School is seventh grader, Isaiah Marier. Isaiah was recognized by Ms. Draxler, who stated,
“I really enjoy supporting Isaiah in science and social studies. On a daily, consistent basis he shows up to class ready to work and learn. He always asks me how my day is and is polite and respectful. He follows directions well, and shows so much respect by being a great listener. I look forward to seeing Isaiah excel and grow even more this year.”
Isaiah is the son of Jon Marier.
Students of the Month are rewarded by having a lunch provided for them and a friend, as well as being issued a unique piece of Hilltopper apparel. In addition, students are provided with preferential parking (for them or a family member).
Congratulations to Zachary and Isaiah!
We would also like to recognize the following students who were nominated in conjunction with their ability to be respectful – Izzy Draxler by Mr. Lamb; Aivree Raasch by Ms. Jones; Olivia Siegel by Mr. Popko; Freddy Leandro-Mendez by Mr. Lamb; and Kaylee Dickman by Ms. Minor.
