News for the week of September 15th – 21st:
Sunday we started our week at the Big Yellow House celebrating the Green Bay Packers and their win! We had a small gathering in the square with snacks and drinks and watched the game together!
Monday was Liver Lover’s Club. Some of us enjoyed the Liver, others of us enjoyed stuffed Chicken! Loretta led us in Rosary and as always we appreciate her time and that she comes to share this with us. We ended our Monday with the Dunn County Bell Ringers who came to entertain us.
Tuesday morning is always off to a great start with Al, Gus and Toby leading the Cribbage group. The residents always look forward to this weekly gathering, although sometimes I think it is more about the company and cookies than the game itself! Catholic Prayer time was held in Willow, we appreciate that this always happens for the Residents. As always there was Prize Bingo in the Square, where everyone goes home a winner! Our volunteers run around a lot during Bingo to get those prizes out, we are glad they are here to help!
Pastor Wik led us in our Wednesday morning church service. We appreciate him taking the time to come and share with us. Angela is always here on Wednesday morning in the beauty shop, where residents gather for shop talk and to get their hair done. Many Residents really look forward to this time of the week! This week we were entertained by Blue Sky and enjoyed listening to their music.
Thursday we took it easy with Stretch and Stories and some dice games in the square. Fellowship with Jordan in the Rotunda is always a great way to end our day.
On Friday morning we gathered in the Square for Gospel Sing a Long. This activity has been a weekly tradition for many years here at Colfax Health and Rehab, and the residents enjoyed listening to the talents of Kathy on piano and Bruce on the guitar. Friday afternoon always bring us Dime Bingo in the Square. We have lots of laughs and winners.
Next week will hold more adventures and fun for the Residents of Colfax Health and Rehabilitation so stay tuned!
