GLENWOOD CITY — The Glenwood City School District will welcome four new staff members, one elementary teacher, a Special Education teacher and two Para Educators.
Tackmann
Aubrey Tackmann will join elementary school as a fourth-grade teacher. She graduated from Winona State University with a Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice-Corrections and Psychology.
She worked as a Special Education para educator for five years after college and while attending UW-River Falls to receive her Masters in Elementary Education.
She taught for two years in Glenwood City as a fifth-grade teacher before moving on to the St. Croix Central school district. This is her fifth-year teaching.
Herrmann
Erin Herrmann joins the Special Education department for Glenwood City and is originally from the Elmwood/Menomonie area.
She has been teaching for the last seven years at Northwest Passage-Riverside, a residential treatment facility for boys ages 12-17.
Herrmann and her husband, Adam, have two boys who are five and two, and she enjoys spending time outdoors with her family.
Hager
Jessica Hager is one of two para educators joining the Glenwood City staff.
Hager and her husband, John, have five children: Jalissa, John Jr., Jared, Jacob and Jordan as well as their cat named Joey.
She enjoys spending time with her family, camping and bowling.
Mickelson
Jennifer Mickelson is the second para educator joining the Toppers staff.
She is no stranger to the Glenwood City area as much of her family was born and raised in Glenwood.
She is from Clear Lake, but currently resides in Deer Park where she lives with her husband, Scott, and children Gauge, Kinzley and Josie as well as their Chihuahua Diesel.
Her favorite season is fall and everything that comes with it, but her favorite thing to do is spend time with family and friends.
