COLFAX — All together, 19 cast members performed in the Missoula Children’s Theatre production of “Jack and the Beanstalk” at the Colfax Municipal Building Auditorium August 24.
The play is based on the classic children’s story “Jack and the Beanstalk,” and the adaptation was conceived and written by Jim Caron with music and lyrics by Michael McGill.
The production featured two performances on Saturday at 3 p.m. and at 5:30 p.m.
Cast members included Griffin Burcham-Schofield (Jack); Lili Marcou (Jill); Michael Christensen (Giant); Gage Stenner (Harp, Acrobats and Farmer); Leila Hurlburt (Mother); Megan Christensen (Milky White); Ring Master (Greyson Osterberg); Landyn Foris (Strong Man); Miles Morehead (Gambler); Daltyn Foris (Band Member); Jonah Oster (Clown); Liam Walley (Lion Tamer); Jayden Knutson (Acrobat, Farmer); Olivia Oster (Ballerina, Merchant); Bailey Beebe (Ballerina, Merchant); Adelina Foris (Bean); Cora Osterberg (Bean); Tony Sonnentag (Bean); Leeona Migawa (Assistant Director).
Xelha Castrejon of Missoula Children’s Theatre played P.T. Wonder and served as tour actor and director.
Rio Chavez of Missoula Children’s Theatre also served as tour actor and director.
Jo Carlson served as the accompanist.
Auditions for “Jack and the Beanstalk” were held Monday, August 19, at Colfax Lutheran Church.
The production could have accommodated between 50 and 60 children as performers in the play.
