COLFAX — The 52nd Annual Colfax Firefighters’ Ball scheduled for Saturday, September 7, starts with a parade on Main Street beginning at noon.
Line-up for the parade begins at 9 a.m. at the Colfax High School parking lot. Registration for the parade is one block north of University Avenue on High Street by the Colfax school district bus garage.

The Colfax Firefighters’ chicken dinner begins at the Colfax Fairgrounds at 11 a.m. and continues “until it’s gone.” The menu includes chicken dinners, BBQs, hot dogs and beverages.
The firefighters also will be manning the beer tent at the fairgrounds, and they will have a cash raffle with a $500 first prize as well as bucket raffles.
The parade concludes at the Colfax Fairgrounds, and after the parade, there will be the traditional Penny Hunt and the Colfax Firefighters’ auction.

The pedal pull at the Colfax Fairgrounds will begin between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m.
A bean bag tournament begins at the fairgrounds at 4 p.m.
Live music by “Flash Point” will be take place in the beer tent from 8 p.m. to midnight.
Raffle tickets can be purchased from any firefighter, and you need not be present to win.
Money raised at the Colfax Firefighters’ Ball goes toward purchasing equipment for the Colfax Community Fire Department.
