Becky Segebrecht has been appointed Clerk of the Dunn County Township of New Haven. Her appointment was made at the July 2nd Special Town Board meeting following the resignation of Laura Shepard, who had held the position since the April election.
Shepard resigned because of her work related schedule.
Segebrecht is a life long resident of the township and lives on County Highway V, north of Connorsville.
Aiding Segebrecht in her new duties is former Town Clerk Diane Duerst.
According to minutes of the Special Town Meeting, the town board set the annual salary for the clerk’s position at $11,000 with a review at the end of August moving it to $12,000 and a further review in September, which could increase the pay to $13,000.
The board also approved hiring Duerst at $1,250 per month for July and August, to get the clerk duties up to date and to train the new clerk.
