POWER OF THE WIND — “Joe from Minnesota,” one of the scientists in a nationwide network of Science Tellers, shows a group of youngsters the power of a leaf blower — and the wind — in blowing toilet paper off a roll. The Science Tellers program was part of the Colfax Public Library’s Summer Reading Program on July 10 in Tower Park in Colfax. THE MAKING OF AN ALIEN HAND — “Joe from Minnesota,” one of the scientists in a nationwide network of Science Tellers, showed Aydin Bjork how he had made the green alien hand he had used in a story about two friends who had become lost in the woods and had found an alien spaceship. The Science Tellers program was part of the Colfax Public Library’s Summer Reading Program on July 10 in Tower Park in Colfax. Joe said the Colfax Public Library would get to keep the alien hand.
