On Saturday, June 22, nine members of the Colfax Scholastic Trap Team took part in the 2019 WI State American Trap Championships in Nekoosa. Each athlete shoots four rounds, totaling 100 clay pigeons.
Out of 1,571 shooters total, the Colfax members placed as follows (score out of 100 is in parentheses): Will Wanish – 393rd (89), Taylor Risler – 640th (85), Garrett Decker – 733rd (84), Trevor Rothbauer – 930th (80), Joe Berg – 1,093rd (75), Nokomis Nosker – 1,147th (74), Grayson Decker – 1,324th (66), Patrick Hafemann – 1,372nd (64), Nolan Stafne – 1,490th (55).
The Colfax Scholastic Trap Team shoots from approximately March through June each year. During July, Nokomis Nosker, Trevor Rothbauer, and Will Wanish will also be shooting at the 2019 SCTP National Championships in Marengo, Ohio.
