21 animals sold for $19,000 at the Colfax FFA Alumni Auction

COLFAX — 4-H club members and Colfax FFA members sold 21 animals at the Colfax FFA Alumni Auction at the Colfax Free Fair on Sunday, June 23.
Total sales for fair animals at the FFA Alumni Auction amounted to a little over $19,000.
Jack Edwards, son of Dave and Tina Edwards and a member of the Colfax FFA, had the highest-selling hog at $4.25 per pound. Edwards’ hog weighed 226 pounds and was sold to Brady Schindler..
Will Wanish, son of Todd and Heather Wanish and a member of the Howard-Wheaton 4-H Club, had the second highest selling hog, a grand champion barrow, which sold to Bri’s Processing for $2.70 per pound. Wanish’s hog weighed 266 pounds.
Trevor Rothbauer, son of Mike and Lauri Rothbauer and a member of the Colfax FFA, had the third-highest selling hog, a barrow, which sold to Bri’s Processing for $2.60 per pound. Rothbauer’s hog weighed 239 pounds.
The heaviest hog was sold by Hunter Roberts, son of Flint Roberts and a member of the Colfax Comets 4-H Club. Roberts’ barrow weighed 283 pounds and was sold to Spring Brook Meats for $2 per pound.
Maximum paid weight on the hogs was 280 pounds.
Maximum paid weight on the steers was 1,600 pounds.

• Abigail Sikora, daughter of Tim and Tawna Sikora and a member of the Howard-Wheaton 4-H Club, sold her 243-pound barrow to Synergy Cooperative for $1.75 per pound.
• Ben Thompson, son of Roger Knutson and a member of the Colfax FFA, sold his 259-pound barrow to Lotts-A Meat for $2 per pound.
• Tori Hill, daughter of Gary and Christie Hill and a member of the Colfax FFA, sold her 227-pound barrow to Harder’s Fine Woodwork for $2 per pound.
• John Riebe, son of Dave Riebe and Jenny Dressel and a member of Colfax Comets 4-H Club, sold his 1,213-pound grand champion beef steer for $1.50 per pound to Synergy Cooperative.
• Blake Sikora, son of Tim and Tawna Sikora and a member of the Howard-Wheaton 4-H Club, sold his 256-pound barrow for $1.75 per pound to Ray’s Concrete.
• River Soul-Stewart, son of Michael and Jessica Soul-Stewart and a member of the Cedarlings 4-H Club, sold her 60-pound wether for $100 to Steve Stewart.
• Jeffrey Sikora, son of Tim and Tawna Sikora and a member of the Howard-Wheaton 4-H Club, sold his 281-pound barrow for $2.25 per pound to Spring Brook Meats.
• Sadie Pitts, daughter of Jerry and Tina Pitts and a member of the Howard-Wheaton 4-H Club, sold her 1,381-pound dairy steer for $1.25 per pound to the Hoof and Paw Veterinary Clinic.
• Jacob Scharlau, son of Dan and Robin Scharlau and a member of the Colfax Comets 4-H Club, sold his 246-pound barrow for $1.85 per pound to Denmark Dairy.
• Josiah Harder, son of Josh Harder and a member of the 22ers 4-H Club, sold his 240-pound barrow for $2 per pound to Harder’s Fine Woodworking.
• Rownan Soul-Stewart, son of Michael and Jessica Soul-Stewart and a member of the Cedarlings 4-H Club, sold his 63-pound wether for $2.75 per pound to the Colfax FFA Alumni.
• Nate Edwards, son of Dave and Tina Edwards and a member of the Colfax Comets 4-H Club, sold his 238-pound barrow for $2 per pound to the Colfax FFA Alumni.
• Matt Scharlau, son of Dan and Robin Scharlau and member of the Colfax Comets 4-H Club, sold his 240-pound gilt for $2.50 per pound to Pleasant Valley Tree Farm.
• Philip Taylor, son of Jeff and Nancy Taylor and a member of the Colfax FFA, sold his 1,699-pound dairy steer for $1.70 per pound to the Colfax Animal Hospital.
• Maveric Suvada, son of Eric and Tami Suvada and a member of the Howard-Wheaton 4-H Club, sold his 248 pound reserve champion barrow for $2 per pound to the Hoof and Paw Veterinary Clinic.
• Chris Scharlau, son of Dan and Robin Scharlau and a member of the Colfax Comets 4-H Club, sold his 245 pound barrow for $2.25 per pound to Synergy Cooperative.
• Zoey Pitts, daughter of Jerry and Tina Pitts and a member of the Howard-Wheaton 4-H Club, sold her 1,375 pound dairy steer for $1.50 per pound to Anna Suvada.
