BLOOMER, Wis. — Five graduating seniors from area high schools recently received $500 scholarships from Mayo Clinic Health System – Chippewa Valley to pursue education in a health care-related field.
The recipients are:
Bloomer
Grace Post will attend the University of Minnesota Duluth to pursue a degree in biology, predental, dental and orthodontics.
Chippewa Falls
Mikayla Runge will attend the University of Minnesota Twin Cities to pursue a degree in genetics, cell biology and development, with a goal of becoming a trauma surgeon.
Colfax
Alyssa Dachel will attend the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire to pursue a degree in nursing to become a labor and delivery or oncology nurse.
McDonell
Charles Bleskachek will attend Concordia University to pursue a degree for a career as an athletics dietitian.
