FIRE PREVENTION POSTER CONTEST — Joe Solberg of the Colfax Community Fire Department handed out prizes to the first, second and third place winners in the Fire Prevention Poster Contest the week of April 15. First place received $15; second place received $10; and third place received $5. First grade winners: Carter Thompson (first); Zayden Tuschl (second); Kamdyn Strand (third). Second grade winners: Reagan Nelson (first); Ezra St. Aubin (second); Hudson Apel (third). Third grade winners: Aubrey Nelson (first); Leah Walbrandt (second); Emmi Neumiller (third). Fourth grade winners: Macy Schleusner (first); Sophia Gonzalez (second); Sam Ralph (third). Fifth grade winners: Jayden Hendrickson (first); Elizabeth Schmitt (second); Nadia Neumiller (third). —photo submitted
