SPRING VALLEY — A two-vehicle accident near Spring Valley in Pierce County late Saturday afternoon injured seven.
According to a new release by the Wisconsin State Patrol, the collision occurred at 4:55 p.m. on Saturday March 30, 2019 on Wisconsin State Highway 29 at County Trunk Highway (CTH) BB.,
The details of the crash according to the Wisconsin State Patrol report are as follows:
At approximately 4:40 p.m. on March 30, 2019, the Wisconsin State Patrol responded to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of STH 29 and County Road BB west of Spring Valley.
A 2015 Chevrolet Traverse, driven by Kevin E. Dicus, 51 of Beldenville, WI, was traveling on STH 29 when a 2017 Ford Fusion, operated by Heather D. Kaeder of Oakdale, MN, failed to stop at a stop sign while traveling south on County Road BB. The Kaeder vehicle collided with Dicus’ SUV resulting in injures to all seven occupants of the two vehicles, who were transported to area hospitals for non-life threatening injuries.
The Wisconsin State Patrol is continuing the investigation.
According to the report, both drivers were wearing seat belts at the time of the accident. The report didn’t state whether any of the passengers were belted.
Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash.
Assisting at the scene were the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department, Elmwood and Spring Valley Fire Departments and EMS/Ambulance Services from Elmwood, Spring Valley, Ellsworth, and Baldwin.
