Spotlight Night is the Colfax High School Music Department’s 9th annual fundraiser scheduled for Friday, April 5 at 6:30 pm. (Doors open at 6:00).
In addition to student performances and audience participation, and voting, there is a live auction.
“We have something for everyone,” said choir director Carrie Christensen. “The group songs we’ve worked on in classes (middle school and high school choirs, high school band), but the individual songs, dances, etc they’ve come up with on their own. I can’t wait to see it all put together!”
Money from this fundraiser helps pay for student scholarships for summer music camps. Students’ own abilities as musicians and performers are strengthened through such experiences. Many of the kids attending camps develop into notable leaders within the ensembles at school.
Tickets for Spotlight Night are $5 ($15 family max) and available at the door. Doors will open at 6:00 pm on Friday, April 5. Individuals or organizations who wish to make a donation can drop off items in the high school office.
