COLFAX — They are described as “a one-of-a-kind act with sass and class.”
Duelly Noted, a “dueling pianos” act, will perform at the Colfax Municipal Building auditorium’s Cozy Theatre on Sunday, February 17, beginning at 5 p.m.
According to www.glberg.com/duelly_noted, “Cassondra and Jacy not only have a charismatic connection on-stage, but they are also best friends off-stage. Whether you want to hear ‘All About that Bass,’ ‘Don’t Stop Believing,’ or ‘I Will Survive,’ Duelly Noted will have you on your feet and singing at the top of your lungs. It’s all about you! What do you wanna hear?”
The performance is being sponsored by the Colfax Municipal Building Restoration Group and the Colfax Commercial Club.
CMBRG and the Colfax Commercial Club are trying something new for this performance by including in the ticket price of $20 the show and an hors d’oeuvre plate and beverage of your choice, including wine and beer, by the Colfax Commercial Club, said Troy Knutson, events coordinator for CMBRG.
The Colfax Commercial Club will have other concessions available as well, and if someone does not want the hors d’oeuvre plate and beer or wine, substitutions of your choice will be available for snacks and beverages of water or soda pop.
Knutson says he is continuing to book different entertainment for the auditorium to appeal to a variety of audiences.
Next month, the Colfax Commercial Club and the Colfax Public Library will be offering a free movie, “A Dog’s Purpose,” at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 16.
The Colfax Public Library will be hosting a “crafternoon” for young library patrons from noon to 1 p.m. that day, and a free movie, “Paw Patrol” at 1 p.m.
Among the other activities at the Colfax Municipal Building auditorium will be a Missoula Children’s Theatre production of “Jack and the Bean Stalk” in August.
“Church of Cash,” a tribute to Johnny Cash, will be at the Colfax Municipal Building auditorium in September.
Pre-sale tickets for Duelly Noted are available at Colfax Arts & Antique Mall on Main Street in Colfax and at the Colfax Messenger office on Railroad Avenue.
Net proceeds for Duelly Noted will go to the Colfax Municipal Building Elevator Fund.
A designated fund has been set up with the Village of Colfax for the municipal building elevator project. Establishing a designated fund means the money must be spent on the purpose for which the fund was established.
The Colfax Village Board has authorized a municipal building elevator committee to work on fund raising for the elevator project.
Initial estimates to build an addition onto the back of the building for the elevator, handicapped accessible bathrooms on all three floors and remodeling the basement into a usable space is $700,000.
