A routine traffic stop on Interstate 94 Sunday evening in Eau Claire County resulted in the arrest of two Minnesota women by the Wisconsin State Patrol on drug charges.
Salina K. Goodwin, 35, of Ogema, MN and Crystal G. Oquist, 39, from Minneapolis have been booked into the Eau Claire County Jail following their arrest for possession with intent to deliver Methamphetamine after the vehicle they were in was stopped by the State Patrol on a traffic violation.
The incident happened February 3, 2019 at approximately 10:12 pm when Wisconsin State Patrol troopers stopped a vehicle occupied by Goodwin, Oquist and an unidentified four-year-old child that was traveling west on Interstate 94 at mile post 74, in Eau Claire County.
The troopers noticed indicators of criminal activity.
A Wisconsin State Patrol canine alerted to the vehicle. A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed a large duffle bag containing approximately 7.5 kilograms of Methamphetamine.
The minor child was released to the custody of Human Services of Eau Claire County.
