Glenhaven Happenings – 10-10-2018

September 29-October 5

Residents enjoyed a movie on Saturday, and on Sunday, Orville Wittmer celebrated his birthday with family, friends and birthday cake for all. Happy Birthday, Orville!

The baking club was busy on Monday getting ready for the upcoming auxiliary bake and craft sale. This week they made pumpkin ginger bread. They have decided they want to make some more breads, as well as bars and pie. So we will be busy for a couple of weeks.

Our monthly activities department waffle breakfast was held on Tuesday morning. Pastor Jonathan and helpers were also here on Tuesday for church. He and Pastor Brad switched weeks. So next week will be Trinity Lutheran.

Beauty shop and Resident Council were held on Wednesday morning, and Bobbie Berends helped us out with Bingo in the afternoon. We had a full house!

Live to be Healthy with Steve was held on Tuesday and Thursday morning. There’s always a large crowd for exercises, which is great to see.

Wes was here for Catholic communion on Friday morning, and it was also popcorn day for residents and staff. Residents played dominoes in the afternoon, and we started putting up some of our fall decorations. The weather is starting to feel like fall, too. What a change from Wednesday to Thursday! Soon the snowballs will be flying.

All of our volunteers are sooooo appreciated!
