Members of Colfax Scholastic Trap Team earn conference recognition
During the recent end-of-season celebration, several members of the Colfax Scholastic Trap Team earned conference recognition for their shooting throughout the trap shooting season. The Colfax team is a member of the West Central division and competes virtually against the Blue Hill Shooting Stars, Boyceville Bulldog Trap Team, Cadott Hornets Shooting Club, Clearwater Explosion, Elk Mound High School Trap Team, and the Menomonie Mustangs Trap Club.
Chase Aspengren, Dulton Eberhardt, Jackson Moyer, and Marshall Reed earned first place for rookie teams in the conference. In addition, Jackson Moyer earned first place for rookies (as an individual) in the conference tournament.
Nokomis Nosker ranked as the top female shooter throughout the conference.
Garret Decker placed second in the intermediate advanced division.
Will Wanish earned first place as the top intermediate advanced shooter in the conference and earned first place (as an individual) in the conference tournament.
Within the conference, there are approximately 250 shooters. The team practices weekly throughout the season and shoots at several competitions, including the state event, throughout the spring and summer months.
