Glenhaven-Havenwood Happenings – 2-7-2018

Glenhaven News Jan. 28-Feb. 3

Grace Baptist Church was here for services on Sunday, as well as Catholic Communion.

The Monday baking club made Apple Walnut Dessert Bars for the birthday party on Tuesday. It was also National Corn Chip day, so we had chips for snack in the afternoon.

[emember_protected] Live to be Healthy exercises were on Tuesday morning, and Jane and Friends sang Happy Birthday and  some old time favorite love songs in the afternoon. They were terrific, as always.  Happy Birthday to all our January residents and tenants-Suzanne Zimmer, Carolyn Tuttle, Millie Rousar, Lloyd Berends, Bill Bosshart, and Ardys Mounce.

St. John’s hosted Bingo on Wednesday. Thanks to Jennifer, Linda, and Jack for your help.

Live to be Healthy was well attended on Thursday morning, and in the afternoon a lively game of Uno was held in the lobby. The winner was Mary Kiekhoefer, with Becky Sempf a very close second. Becky has promised to teach how to play hearts the next time we play cards.

From all reports, the Ground Hog saw his shadow on Friday, so 6 more week of winter. The way it’s looking, I would say we’re in for a lot more than that!

The residents gathered in the lobby to guess whose shadows were hanging on the wall. It proved to be a difficult task for some. We’ll announce the winners in next week’s paper.

Wes was here for Communion in the morning, and everyone enjoyed fresh popcorn.

Saturday afternoon Jim Ehlers was here to entertain.
