GCHS CSI class collecting “Toys for Tots”

The students in this semester’s Contemporary Social Issues (CSI) class at Glenwood City High School are required to engage in a community service project in an effort to generate an understanding of the value of helping others.

This semester’s students – all members of the Class of 2018 – have decided to help others who are less fortunate during the upcoming holiday season. The students have decided to become an active participant in the “Toys for Tots” campaign and are seeking the public’s assistance.

New, unwrapped toys will be collected during the following dates/events:

•Friday, December 8 – Girls’ Basketball vs. Mondovi

•Tuesday, December 12 – Girls’ Basketball vs. Boyceville; Boys’ Basketball vs. Mondovi

•Friday, December 15 – Boys’ Basketball vs. Mondovi

For each item donated, the donor will receive a ticket for a drawing for prizes donated from Summit 58, the Glenwood City school store. Drawings will take place at halftime of each of the above listed contests, with the exception of the December 12 events – that drawing will take place between the two varsity contests.

For more information, contact Jessica, CSI instructor, at the Glenwood City High School.
