A Word to the Wise – 1-25-2017

Is there any question about the origin of man? In the eyes of those who do not believe God’s word as given in the Bible, there is a question.

Many settle for the belief in evolution. Though evolution is but a theory, many hold to it because they cannot bring themselves to believe in a personal God who is the Creator of all things. If we take the Bible as the very word of God, which those who have come to Christ for salvation do, there is no question as to the origin of man. The record is clear, “And the Lord formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul” (Gen. 2:7). What a comfort it is to know that man is created by God Himself! Because of faith in God and His word, we no longer need to seek for the answer to things God has already revealed. As a result, the believer can rest in the truth of God about his origin. He no longer has to seek an answer for things to which there is only one answer, God! This is certainly debated by many in the world today, but Christians don’t have to be discouraged by such debate if they know for themselves the ministry of the Holy Spirit Who guides the believer into all truth. For the believer, there is no question about the origin of man!
