TOWN OF GLENWOOD — A Glenwood City woman was injured after her vehicle struck another on County Highway G in the Town of Glenwood.
Glenwood City EMS and fire personnel and St. Croix County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the accident that happened at 7:55 a.m. on December 21. On arrival, responders found 49-year-old Angela R. Bloss of Glenwood City in need of extrication from her Ford Focus.
Information provided by St. Croix County Captain Jeff Klatt indicates Bloss was driving on County Highway G when Thomas D. O’Shaugnessy, age 45 and also of Glenwood City, backed out of his driveway in his truck and into the path of Bloss’ car. She struck the rear corner panel of the truck.
Both drivers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the collision. Bloss was transported to Western Wisconsin Health in Baldwin with injuries, the extents of which are not currently known.
O’Shaugnessy was not injured, nor was his passenger, a one-year-old child who was in a car seat.
A photograph of the accident was published in the December 28, 2016, edition of the Tribune Press Reporter. Captain Klatt stated there was no indication weather was a factor in the collision.
