MENOMONIE — A 19-year-old Wheeler man is scheduled to be arraigned in Dunn County Circuit Court on three felony counts and one misdemeanor related to the sexual assault of a 15-year-old girl.
Micah A. Minor appeared in court with his attorney, Scott Schlough, before Judge James Peterson for a preliminary hearing November 11.
Judge Peterson found probable cause and bound Minor over for trial.
Minor is charged with one Class C felony count of the second-degree sexual assault of a child, one misdemeanor count of resisting an officer, one Class D felony of child enticement with sexual contact, and one Class D felony count of child enticement giving or selling drugs.
Judge Peterson set bail at $5,000 cash November 3.
According to the criminal complaint, the alleged sexual assault occurred at a house in the Town of Otter Creek.
The alleged victim stated that Minor had forced her to have sex with him after she had told him “no” several times and had told investigators that Minor had given her alcohol and Xanax, according to the complaint.
Minor, who is listed in court records as previously having a Colfax address, is scheduled to be arraigned in Dunn County Circuit Court November 21.
Minor is charged in Dunn County as a “repeater” because of a previous conviction on felony bail jumping.
If Minor is convicted on the current charges, the repeater status means that the penalty for a misdemeanor could be increased by up to two years, and the penalty for a felony could be increased by up to six years.
