GLENWOOD CITY — The Glenwood City Police Department has a new full-time police officer. Vince Rudesill of Baldwin stepped into the vacant position on November 11.
Rudesill is a 2011 graduate of Baldwin-Woodville high school and attended college at UW – Platteville. He completed his education there in 2015 and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. He then attended Southwest Tech’s police academy program in Fennimore, Wisconsin.
Police Chief Bob Darwin said he hired Rudesill not just because of his education, but because he has one year’s worth of experience.
“He also gave a very good interview,” Darwin noted.
The Glenwood police chief said Rudesill seems to have the right personality to fit in very well with the community he will serve.
Rudesill comes to Glenwood City after having worked several months for the Menomonie Police Department.
