Does it really matter if we put a difference between right and wrong? In the world we live in, the lines between right and wrong have been pretty much obliterated.
The world condones, even embraces what the Bible clearly says is wrong, what is displeasing to God. However, no man or court can make right what God says is wrong. The standard must be the word of God, not the word and opinions of man. God rebuked His people through Ezekiel when He said, “Her priests have violated My law, and have profaned Mine holy things: they have put no difference between the holy and profane, neither have they shown difference between the unclean and the clean…” (Ezek. 22:26). Was this an advantage to Israel? Hardly, for God said in response, “Therefore have I poured out Mine indignation upon them; I have consumed them with the fire of My wrath: their own way have I recompensed their heads, saith the Lord God” (Ezek. 22:31). Just because judgment doesn’t come immediately doesn’t mean it will not come at all! The good news is that God provided grace and mercy through His Son. By accepting His offer in His Son, we may have forgiveness in place of certain wrath!
