Listen for the time for hearing aids

Nearly ten percent of the U.S. population suffers from hearing loss to one degree or another, according to the Association of Mature American Citizens. The older you are the more likely you are to be hard of hearing.

Yet, despite the impact it has on an individual’s quality of life, “many people with hearing loss do not seek out or receive hearing health care. Estimates of hearing aid use are that 67 to 86 percent of adults (50 years and older) who may benefit from hearing aids do not use them, and many hearing assistive technologies as well as auditory rehabilitation services are not fully utilized,” reports the National Academy of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine.
