Nancy Hover will be back on the City Council again. Hover was appointed by Mayor John Larson Monday evening, June 20 to fill the open seat left vacant by the resignation of Crystal Booth.
Hover was a member of the City Council until April when her term expired. She did not seek re-election on the April ballot.
The mayor informed the other members of the Council that Hover had planned to sell her home in Glenwood City and that is why she did not run for re-election. “But her plans have changed” the mayor said. He also noted that she is very familiar with what is happening with the city council.
The mayor noted that other people had expressed an interest in that council seat and Larson told them to run in the next election. The council approved the mayor’s nomination of Hover.
