Does God really care for His own? Yes! He cares for each and every one of His children.
Jesus said, “Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God? But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows” (Matt. 12:6-7). Our responsibility is to trust God for the needs of our life. When Jesus taught His disciples to pray he said, “After this manner therefore pray ye…Give us this day our daily bread” (Matt. 6:9, 11). Of course, it is essential that we know the difference between our needs and our wants. It is when we are walking with God that we can see the difference. He reveals to us through His word and by His Spirit what is really essential in our lives. When we are truly abiding in Him and His word is abiding in us, we will have the discernment to know something of the difference between what is really needful and just what appeals to us. Apart from abiding in Christ, we are concerned with what we think will make us happy and comfortable. When we are abiding in Him, we can trust Him for the needs of our lives. We know He cares for us.
