Glenhaven Auxiliary update

The Glenhaven Auxiliary met on Tuesday, May 10 to plan summer activities. The yearly raffle was discussed, as the new license just arrived.

Mary Tiberg shared a picture of the beautiful queen size quilt she and Joy DeWyre have in progress. Mary is also making an animal print throw. Other items that will be on the raffle are a beautiful wooden side table from Gary Svensen/Karen Stoner, Afghan from Louise, a Cuddle Kut from Judy Utpahl, a handmade basket from Judy Knox, a “Vet” Landscape Bug from Cronk’s Repair, a decorative fountain from Bonnie Cronk. The Auxiliary also voted to add money prizes. If anyone has anything else, please contact Bonnie this week, as the tickets will be made. Linda Sittlow volunteered to be in charge of the raffle tickets this year.

The group moved to purchase raised bed planters and necessary watering equipment and volunteered to help the residents and Doris with gardening this year. The first meeting for a planning session was held on Monday, May 23. Monday’s were set aside for this group to meet.

The Rustic Lore Pie Social will be held again this year on September 11. A motion was mad to purchase a small freezer for the ice cream, which could later be used at Glenhaven. Discussion was held about a booth at the St. Croix County Fair. It was decided we would plan to do that again, and use it to display the raffle prizes and a venue to sell the raffle tickets. A committee composed of Louise, Linda, and Connie was set up to work on creating a display rack for the quilt. We will again have a gift basket drawing each day of the Fair, Judy Utpahl is in charge.
