Boyceville track teams host Dunn-St. Croix/Lakeland Challenge to cap regular season

Cool, and at times windy, weather conditions punctuated the Boyceville track and field teams regular-season finales last week as they competed in a pair of meets – one on the road and the other at home.

The Bulldogs were in Mondovi on Tuesday, May 10 and returned home to host the Dunn-St. Croix/Lakeland Conference Challenge two days later, Thursday, May 12.

After finishing eighth in the 10-team Mondovi Invite, the Boyceville girls captured second at it’s 8-team home meet. The boys were not as fortunate as they finished last in both competitions.

The meets were the Bulldogs’ final events before the Dunn-St. Croix Conference tournament which was held yesterday (Tuesday, May 17) in Glenwood City. The WIAA tournament series will begin next Monday, May 23 with Boyceville once again hosting one of the division 3 regional meets. The top four competitors in each regional event will advance to the sectional meet to be held in Colfax on Thursday, May 26.
