Test drive a new Ford and help raise funds for Hinman

Calling all citizens! Come take the Wheel of a new Ford car, truck or SUV on May 18 and help the Glenwood City Recreation Department raise funds for the Hinman Park renovations and improvements.

The summer recreation program and River Valley Ford of Baldwin will be hosting a “Drive 4 UR Community” fundraising event at Glenwood City’s Hinman Park next Wednesday, May 18 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

For every valid test drive taken in a Ford vehicle on Wednesday, May 18 at Hinman Park, Ford will donate $20 to the Glenwood City Recreation Department up to a total of $6,000 – that’s a total of 300 test drives.

Simply show up at Hinman  Park next Wednesday between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. to test drive a Ford vehicle and Glenwood City Rec will be the winner.

The funds raised from the event will go to renovating the ball fields at the park.

The fund drive, which began last fall, has already netted several thousands of dollars including a recent $10,000 grant from the Minnesota Twins baseball organizations that helps communities and organizations build and remodel youth baseball fields.

Forms to pre-register for the “Drive 4 UR Community” test drive event will be available at Hinman Park beginning this Wednesday evening during tee ball and pitch ball practices.
