EAU CLAIRE — A remembrance quilt honoring Mayo Clinic Health System hospice patients will be on display over the next year in northwest Wisconsin.
Since 1993, the names of deceased loved ones have been stitched onto Mayo Clinic Health System’s hospice remembrance quilt. Each year, a new quilt is made that contains the names of people who chose to live the remainder of their days with the support of hospice.
The 2014 quilt represents 480 patients and families touched by hospice services. The quilt was created by Kathy Schmiedeskamp and Sandra Peterson, both of Home Health & Hospice, and completed by Jan Zutter of Chippewa Falls.
The hospice quilt will travel to these Mayo Clinic Health System sites:

• February: Osseo, 13025 Eighth St.
• March: Mondovi, 202 Memorial Drive
• April: Community display – Eau Claire, L.E. Phillips Senior Center, 1616 Bellinger St.
• May: Chippewa Falls, 611 First St.
• June: Bloomer, 1501 Thompson St.
• July: Barron, 1222 E. Woodland Ave.
• August: Rice Lake, 331 S. Main St.
• September: Chetek, 220 Douglas St.
• October: Menomonie, 2321 Stout Road
• November and December: Eau Claire, 1221 Whipple St, third floor, Wishart Building
